WMA

Overview

Windows Media™ Audio (WMA) is a proprietary audio compression format developed by Microsoft Corporation. A large number of consumer devices, ranging from portable music players and smartphones to set-top boxes and DVD players, support the playback of WMA files. WMA is the one of the most widely used sound encoders, surpassed only by MP3 in terms of the number of supported devices. WMA STD decoder is a part of the WMA v.9 codec bundle along with WMA Pro, WMA Lossless and WMA Voice.

SPIRIT WMA Decoder is a highly efficient implementation of the WMA STD format. The decoder is designed to add WMA decoding functionality to various portable devices.
